  • Can I select a family without meeting them? Look at a book of pictures and information on waiting families?
  • Can I meet a family before deciding? Several families? Before the baby is born?

  • Can I spend time with my baby alone?
  • Can my baby go home from the hospital with the adoptive parents?
  • Can someone take care of my baby while I decide what to do?
  • Can I ask for pictures and information about my child after adoption? Have a relationship after adoption?
  • Do many adoptive parents share information?
  • Can I get help with my feelings after the baby is born? After the baby is adopted? Later?
  • Will someone be there to help my child and the adoptive family as needed? Through the years?
  • Will I be told about financial help available?

The answer is Yes…these choices are available to you in adoption. Counseling can help you explore these options and decide for yourself what is best for you and your baby. Or, if you are not yet sure about adoption, single parenting, or even marriage, counseling is available to help you explore all your options.
